In response to your reply, HOA was and is very aware of my no request for lawn care. Not only that, but I contacted your company prior to the day you sprayed my yard to verify that you would not spray. I will not mention the name of the person in this review, but HOA is very aware that I was assured the day prior to your spraying my yard that YOU WOULD NOT SPRAY MY YARD. Try another excuse.
I have no idea how the actual service is, because the scheduling communication is so poor, I can’t even get scheduled. In response to my request for service, Casey left me a message to call him, & when I was leaving a voicemail for him, I got a text saying “who is this?” Excuse me, what?! Is this really the level of professionalism I can expect when I’m calling for a service that’s going to cost me thousands of dollars (but be a very quick service)? He said he’d give me a call the next day. That was five days ago, so I texted again today. No response. I wanted to share my experience, because I’m exhausted by how hard it is to get anything done in ABQ; this is not normal. I do business in other states, & I get calls back & things scheduled in a matter of hours. Please train your front end folks better, because it’s really frustrating to need help, be willing & ready to pay for said service, & a company not have it together enough to return calls & provide the service. Edited to respond: With respect, please do not mansplain me. Every business knows their busy season & can adequately be prepared if desired. Additionally, the “personal cell phone number” was given to me by Casey himself, & I absolutely did not contact him outside of business hours.
If I could give them a negative I would but apparently you can't post until you give them at least a 1. Even after requesting no service they have chopped down my flowers (no return call when I complained), and after reminding them to stay out of my yard and not to spray (I was assured I would have no problems) I walked outside to find out they sprayed my yard (I had called the day before to remind them not to). I called again to complain and will see if I get a return call. I am contacting my attorney. Again, in response to your placing blame everywhere else, HOA has known for years about no service to my home, property management company has contacted your company about this, I have made several (unreturned) calls to your company and YOU KNOW NOT TO SERVICE MY YARD yet you still killed my plants by spraying after you reassured me you would not spray (one of those unreturned phone calls). Those were the replants after you cut down the original plants. Take responsibility for your unprofessional management.
We are working with Yellowstone to help control our Forrest of weeds. I purchased a Touring, I love the new safety elements they have in new cars. Keeps me safe..
This company was hired by our homeowners association for landscape maintenance. There is no quality in their work, and the company charges a lot of money for the destruction that ensues. The only thing they do is use the loudest two stroke gasoline powered blowers and machines to blow all debris and topsoil from one place to another. The noise and fumes are hideous, and they blow the pine needles and other dry debris into the small gully behind our house which does not belong to us or the association, creating huge fire danger there where the ponderosa trees grow. They blow all topsoil away and hack at our plants until they look dead. The small areas of green grass are now just weeds and dirt. They do not pull any weeds near us, and they do not keep the sprinkler systems working at all. In winter they slam into the curbing on our driveway with their snowplows, breaking it and shoving it into landscaped areas. They use nasty chemicals, summer and winter. I cannot imagine why our HOA board has hired them. I have let the HOA know about the problems. It is miserable, and I dread seeing them anywhere in our state.
Saw two of these vehicles driving very recklessly. If you can't trust them on the street, why would you ever trust them in your home?
The company as a whole is ok.. but the team that did my yard was awesome! Thanks to Buddy and his team they made the whole process easy and fun wile marking sure I knew what was happening and when as far as they c ould.
My HoA has a maintenance contract with Heads Up. They don't have to care what my lawn looks like and it shows. I have been complaining about this for years and years now. During my last interaction with the tall blond lady supervisor, she could not stop laughing at me. I am old and use a cane to get around, my gait is unusual granted, but It should not be a source of amusement for your supervisor. (I included some common tools in the photos for scale)
Slow in the design phase, It took 9 months from the first meeting to the start of the yard, Yard was done ok, Only reason for the 2 star is the foreman on the final walk through fix a lot of the little things that were not done as well as pick up the trash that was left, Slow overall
Your driver almost hit my car and was swerving in and out of lanes today...appears the person was on their phone and very inattentive. Truck # was M1388.
Be fair warn, this not am honorable company! No matter how much money you spend hiring them, their warranty is only 1yr. If your like me, you will end up with a problem product that they installed. I have a 2yr old wood patio cover that now I have to hire someone to strip the black mold off & then refinance the wood I live in a very large new development & I am warning every one of my neighbors to stay away from this company at all cost!. Trust me you will be better off taking your money & business else where!
Yellowstone did not use weed barrier in all areas. After they installed a drain it would not drain and water just sat in the drain. The out was higher then in the intake. They came back and just left the out drain open and the water just puddles in front of the sidewalk. We were told it would be a french drain but they did not install a french drain. They mixed dirt in the gravel and told us that the dirt will settle down with water. They were not prepared and asked us for use of hoses and other supplies.

I called and left 2 messages as it s hard to get a person on the phone. No call back. Third time called, someone picked up and said I d be receiving a call, never heard from anyone. Called again and left a message stating this. Got a call from someone and said they put me on an email with the person I needed to speak to. Never received an email. Absolutely the worst service ever.
7/12/23 In regards to 4824 McMahon Medical Arts Building.... Is it your practice to use blowers and collect all that dirt and debris 3 ft from a persons vehicle? My company vehicle was covered in a heavy coat of dirt and dust. The inside is also effected. I told Kyle to immediately blow that off my car. I cannot believe that you train your employees to treat clients personally owned vehicles in this manner while working for Yellowstone. Next time, I will document with photos and hold your company financially liable.
Your worthless crew just literally decided to aim all their trash and leaves at my car in mile wide open parking lot...scratches, dirt leaves. Thanks ALOT. Im sure Im stuck with the bill.

The tree that they put in my front yard in March is doing poorly, half the branches are dead. The inspection was done without my knowledge or attendance, and now Im told warranty will not be honored. Poor quality work, and wont stand behind warranty.

This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with. do not do anything they say theyre going to do. They argue with you and say that thats not what was agreed upon and tried to change prices. . not clear on the services they were going to provide. They blow all the debris from the properties to the street and do not pick it up. The supervisor I dealt with was very very unprofessional, and refused to give his name. He was vulgar, offensive amd had an extreme lack of customer service. I would NEVER recommend ever using this company

DO NOT even call this company for any landscaping/irrigation work!! They came out for a free irrigation repair estimate, the technician caused a leak in my system, I never received my estimate but today I got a BILL for $200.51. For NO WORK at all - $200!! Do not bother, it may cost you!!
I live in an apartment complex.When they come and mow, blow or whatever they do, they leave my patio area a mess. It is not right , in any way, to Leave such a mess behind for tenants to clean, especially when they are disabled!! If I could post pictures I would!!

Used HULC for several years at a large commercial building. Company recently sold and service has been terrible. Plant and grass material has been stressed or died as a result of poor maintenance and failure to maintain the irrigation system properly. Employees expectations and work performance is poor. Trash and weeds are everywhere! I would not use this company again. I recommend getting bids from other providers in the area, even if the cost is double or triple. It will pay off in the end to not use HULC.

I had a leak in the supply line of my sprinkler system, under a big tree. I thought Id save my husband some time and effort and hired Heads Up to do the work. I thought theyd be able to get more done in a shorter time than my husband. The workers were scheduled to arrive at 8:30 am. They were about 15 minutes late. They had trouble figuring out the sprinkler system. So they started sometime after 9 am. Two men, taking turns digging the hole. They finished digging out a hole that my husband had started and fixed that portion. There was still a leak, which they said was in the sprinkler line that was only a couple inches in the ground, not in the supply line. I told them that should be fine, and wed take care of that. They finished at 11:45 am and sat in the work truck logging stuff for a few minutes, then left. If we charge the actual time they were there, it would be about 3 hours. At $100/hr, that would be $300. Rounding would be $350. My husband told me thats normal at least for commercial accounts, rounding to the next half hour. This is residential though, and they added an extra half hour. I called, and the accounting department said they logged being there til 12:10 pm, and that got rounded to the next half hour, showing where the extra 30 minutes came from. I got overcharged for 50-60 minutes. It also turned out there were two more breaks in the supply line. Not at all worth $100/hr. Two people did not get more done in a shorter amount of time, and they overcharged.
They are very knowledgeable, very service oriented and respond quickly and know how to treat my desert landscape and keep our plantings healthy. Highly professional.
Homeowner BEWARE...My dog could do a better job than this Company. See my pictures. I just did this 2 weeks ago and it looked beautiful. Heads Up comes yesterday to prune again and here is the result. I do not know why they even stepped foot on my property. Theyll pay. I had no choice but to leave them a One Star otherwise they get a BIG FAT ZERO. More pictures upon request

Any time I have a question regarding any of my irrigation or issue with weeds they are always very helpful and quick to come out to take care of my landscape needs.
Some of the most ethical people around! If a problem arises, they will always listen and put the customer first.
its pretty clear to me that most of the 5 star ratings are written like commercials for this place, clearly written by management. they spray chemicals all over the place. with no regard for warnings or people or pets or that they are doing it while i am bringing my child home for school. i complained about something once to someone in charge and they have since purposely let the grounds right around where i live fall apart. seeing them is awkward as it seems like they are trying to intimidate me. ive seen them act unprofessionally with each other as well in ways that compromised safety. honestly the vibe i got was that heads up was referring to the fact that this company hires ex cons under the guise of helping people out, but they are just taking advantage of being able to pay these people even less. maybe im wrong, but it certainly has nothing at all to do with environmental stewardship as their website laughingly describes. the mixes they create themselves to kill weeds contain salts which start building up in the soil and that makes it hard for any plant to live, including the grass that they are supposed to be taking care of! is that done on purpose so they can charge you later to replace it with fresh sod? :O and their sprinkler set up in my community is unbelievably wasteful. in fact i need to find out where i can report them for how wasteful and inefficiently they have set it up. there are rivers running down the streets and giant puddles everwhere. it is infuriating and unconscionable in this time of drought. i challenge this company to find safer more environmental friendly ways to landscape. if you dont... it just may cost you your business.
The 5 stars are from employees, this company sucks. They rush jobs, treat employees and customers horribly. Far from professional. This company loses more people than they hire. Ive seen guys drinking and driving, oh yes, and sleeping at job sites in the truck. Please send your business elsewhere and put this company out of business!!!!

Heads Up has torn up the Embudito Canyon trail with no indication they are working there making it dangerous to ride through there.

Had Heads Up come to my moms house to do a clean up.. remove weeds, trim trees, spray for weeds, and a dormant oil treatment for a pine tree. They did a great job.. tree is healthy, weeds didnt come back for almost a whole year, and best of all my mom was happy her yard was in great shape!
Every season Heads Up is proactively out at my parents home either shutting off the sprinklers for winter or checking the irrigation for spring start up. The crew members are always on time and willing to answer questions. I definitely recommend Heads Up!!

HeadsUp is an excellent Landscaping company in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe areas. HU is the leading landscaper in this region and does residential, corporate, and roadside construction, maintenance, and irrigation.
Yard is never cleaned up! You are supposed to help by coming in and making it look wonderful. no one has ever put time into northern meadows and it has never been maintained!! Start doing your job
You only get the star because I HAVE to give you one just so I can tell everyone about all the nothing Yall do in Northern Meadows and the landscaping tools yall stole from my yard. This isnt the 1st time things have gone missing after someone walks through with a blower trying to look productive. Now if youll excuse me, I have to go trim the bushes in my front yard, yall missed em.

Really not a good place. Customer service wasnt very helpful and their landscape crew leaders need to be retrained. Was not very happy. Ill do my business somewhere else next time
Just moved to my new home in Northern Meadows subdivision and spent a lot of money landscaping my yard. Every time I turned around this company was in my yard cutting down a tree or pulling up my plants. Had to call tell them not to come into my yard again!
Very happy! Very close attention to my desires, excellent suggestions for money-saving improvements that worked out even better aesthetically, and as promised financially. Good supervision during the construction, and follow up has been very conscientious.
Heads Up was great with selling their landscaping to me but the execution was horrible. After I paid them half the money they gave me the run around about a start date for the landscaping. They said it would be more than three weeks before they could start (and they couldnt promise it wouldnt be more). After I told them I was going to use a different company, they came out the next day and started the work... Once the work was started I had to keep a close eye on their work because they like to cut corners. They were going to tap into the front yard irrigation system instead of creating a second one for the backyard (this was different from what was in the agreement), they spread rock in areas that werent on the plan and they switched out plants without even telling me. After they finished the work, no one ever called to see if I was satisfied or even give me information on the plants and the requirements to keep them up. Granted their work looks good, it was just a pain to deal with them considering the amount of money I paid.
