I am happy to recommend Smart Landscape Management! I have used their services several times and have never been disappointed. The most recent was to trim a couple trees, remove some previously broken limbs, move an existing plant and plant two new trees. They did all these jobs to my satisfaction in about one hours time. I used Smart landscaping for some general cleanup in my backyard, and design/install of xeriscaping in my front yard. Marshall was friendly and responsive to any questions or concerns I had during the process, working to clear up any misunderstandings in a timely manner. The overall cost of the project was significantly less than the estimate I received from another, larger landscape company, and Marshall did well sticking to my budget. There were, however, some issues at the end of the project that soured my experience. First, there was a new timer controller. I had an existing box attached to my house with power run to it which housed an old timer controller. I wanted the new timer controller to go in this box to avoid having additional items attached to my house, but only if it would fit. The new timer controller was placed in the box, but to close the door and keep everything sealed from the elements requires putting a good deal of pressure on the front of the new timer, as it does not really fit. Not really the solution I was hoping for, and had I been told during install I would have placed it elsewhere. Also, the final walkthrough of the project took place during a windstorm. Perhaps rescheduling would have been better, as there was no way to have a proper discussion of the project with 50 mph winds blowing. Lastly, there was a large leak in the new irrigation system that Smart installed, that occurred a week after the final walkthrough. On a Friday night I noticed a drop in water pressure in my house, and quickly discovered a large leak in the valve box installed by Smart (the PVC pipe had completely sheared off). This caused a flood in my front yard that I wasnt able to stop until the next morning, and I was without water all weekend as a result. Marshall was good about sending his irrigation tech out the following Monday to fix the leak (I doubt any landscaper does weekend calls), which was appreciated. But I was disappointed that Marshall never followed up with me to confirm the leak was fixed to my satisfaction. The flooding brought a lot of loose soil to the surface, that I feel caused some damage to my newly installed landscaping. Im also wondering if enough material was used, as there are spots where I can easily see the landscaping fabric beneath the rocks, although this might have been caused by the flooding. So overall, Im happy with what I received for the cost, but disappointed with the crammed in timer controller and lack of follow up after the flooding incident.

I ve used Marshall and his team for years and they are great! Always on time, reasonably priced and do a thorough job. Totally clean the yard and put things back in place. Also appreciate Marshall s creativity in solving problems regarding landscaping. Have referred him to other friends and they have been very pleased with the work.

A few years ago they replaced over 30 railroad ties. Also recently had sprinkler control and all valves replaced. Plan on using them in future to help move rock to replace irrigation tubing to various plants and trees as well as sod replacement in an old playground area

We hired SMART Landscaping upon the recommendation of another reputable lawn maintenance company in town. Marshall was extremely personable, helpful, professional, and conscientious. His company removed a tree and some sod along with converting sprinklers to drip system for xeriscaping plants. He followed up to see if the we were satisfied and if the irrigation system was working. There was one problem to which his men immediately attended to and made sure it was completed with excellence. I can not say enough about how satisfied we are with the work.

Since, hiring Smart Landscape Management, my lawn, bushes and trees have taken on a new life. They look so much perkier and green. They are pruned and shaped and really add to the appeal of the yard.

Smart Landscape converted our courtyard from a sloping grass yard to a level paver space which can now be used for enjoyment and entertainment. They included lighting, plants and a wall to enhance the appearance of the space. We were impressed with the details of the job and we are planning our next expansion with them.

We found these guys by searching for recommendations on Nextdoor. In addition to theirs, we obtained multiple quotes from other landscapers. SMARTs was very reasonable and Marshall worked with us to stay within budget, and without trying to upsell us. Marshall went above and beyond in handling our credit with the water authority, including helping us pick the right plants for the most credit. Our old antiquated irrigation system had many issues which the team handled in stride. This is an honest, hardworking, and reliable team that has been very responsive to address any of the small lingering issues that have arisen. We highly recommend them!

The work was completed as planned and in a timely manner. The yard looks 100% better. The upkeep on it is very minimal now. Rock was laid and concrete was also placed properly. I could not have asked for more. I am very pleased. Thank you for a job well done.

The work of placing rocks in the yard was very nice. The cloth used to prevent weeds from coming up was awesome. I rarely see any weeds popping up. The quality of the material used was outstanding. I would recommend this company to do yardwork.

Great experience from start to finish! We contacted three different landscape companies and SMART Landscape Management was the only one who had the courtesy to respond. Were so glad they did. It was a pleasure doing business with Marshall and his crew. They performed general end-of-season cleanup on our entire yard as well as removing some old gravel that was installed when our home was built and replacing it with new gravel and a new border. The end result is simply amazing and we couldnt be happier. Spring is here! I don t have time to do it all! I needed some serious landscaping, shrub pruning, edging, blowing and overall yard maintenance. I ve contacted many local landscape companies in Abq all of which have been a less than satisfactory experience. I was impressed that Marshall came out, customized my plan for exactly what I needed, took pictures to send his crew so I didn t have to repeat the same info again. I was notified when they were coming, they showed up and did a phenomenal job. Very friendly staff. I m looking forward to regular maintenance to keep this new look going. When I arrived home my yard looked fantastic, the best it s looked since I purchased my home 5 years ago. Smart Landscape Management redid our yard about two years ago with a retaining wall, cover gravel and watering system. They did a great job at that time. Recently, I couldnt find one of the water lines and Marshall came out at no cost and helped me find it. That is customer service that doesnt stop when the check is cashed.

SMART Landscaping also just completed a big xeriscaping job in our front yard. I am incredibly satisfied with all of their work.
