My front courtyard was an absolute mess, and Cutters Edge made it Gorgeous!! Thank you!!! See before and after pictures...

They did a great job last year cutting down some of our over grown front yard. Tried calling this year for more work. We have left messages and sent emails like instructed to by the answering machine. Nada. No responses of any kind. We called tree pros and bam they will be here tomorrow already. UPDATE: Got an email this morning from G. Jacobsen. Instead of trying to keep us as customers it was an email about how were wrong and they have no info on us and they are the best and just too busy for new customers until June. This should have and could have been so simple for basic landscaping needs. We will never recommend this company nor use them again for anything.

Ignored calls for quotes Must not need the business.

Jorge did a great job replacing my back porch roof. Justin, Santiago, and Joe restained all the wood and added pavers. The porch looks fantastic! It took a few months for them to get started (all good landscapers are booked solid), but the professional craftsmanship was worth the wait. I highly recommend.

I had them redo the landscaping of our front and back yard. They were super knowledgeable and helpful in laying out the design. They were incredibly skillful and fast in excuting all the demolition and laying out the new pavers, concrete sidewalk, sod and new plantings. Great attention to every detail. The end product was exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for expert landscaping.

The day after we called to inquire, they gave us a quote. The day after that, they were fixing our roof! Plus, they came in under the quote. And just in time . . . rain is expected. Thanks, Cutters Edge!

My original review, when the work was completed, would have been 5 stars. They were prompt, communication between owner was clear, all was great. Fast forward to one year and it has dropped to 1 star. The owner will not take responsibility for their shoddy sprinkler installation, which caused areas of sod to die off. Sod is not covered in their contract; however, irrigation work is, so this was definitely a breach of contract. Long story short - There were five different areas where incorrect sprinkler heads were installed and by incorrect, they did not adequately water (head-to-head coverage) the surrounding grass area(s), which caused sod in those areas to die off. I heard every excuse in the book from Mr. Jacobsen, which Im sure you will also read in any comments he leaves on this post. But beware, he doesnt honor his contract. I was tired of hearing excuse after excuse, so I looked up the sprinkler manufacturer technical design documentation and found that the five areas, which continusely had issues, all had incorrect sprinkler heads installed. In some cases the sprinkler head installed projected water 10, but the grass area was 18. 8 short?? My husband and I followed the manufacturers technical design documentation and were able to fix all of the above issues ourselves and voilà we no longer have issues!!! For those interested, I did seek legal advice because Mr. Jacobsen would not take responsibility. The lawyer started asking me what I wanted to receive from Mr. Jacobsen in the form of a refund. Did I want a total refund, a partial refund? The reality is, I am ethical person and will not pursue Mr. Jacobsen in court because what I was asking for was minimal. Unfortunately, Mr. Jacobsen apparently is not quite as ethical.

Owner Grant showed up on time and provided professional suggestions along with a free estimate. Grant and his workers completed the project in three days with excellent results.

Grant, Zach, and the crew did a great job turning our dirt back yard into an awesome place to hang out. They started on time and even finished ahead of schedule. I would definitely recommend them for your landscape needs.

I would select Grant and his team again without hesitation. They transformed our backyard from dirt to a lovely space with a grid of large concrete pavers and pea gravel. Grant helped me map out the project, steering me away from bad decisions, and addressed all of my questions. He came in on budget and the crew was considerate and meticulous they had to figure out some things down to a few inches, and they involved me in day-of decisions. They are pros, fairly priced and friendly.

Did not finish the job as quoted. We ended up having to fix issues ourselves because the owner would not take responsibility and was full of excuses. I would not recommend using cutters edge. Customer service can make or break a business. I am not the type of person to complain or leave bad reviews unless its absolutely necessary. Feel free to look at my profile. We made a mistake by doing business with you and hopefully this review will prevent someone else from making that same mistake.

Very happy with the job that Grant and Cutters Edge did in my backyard. They laid artificial turf and gravel, plus replaced a fence. Total professionals, from Zach who gave me the estimate, to Santiago, Killian, and Marty who did the work. They did a fabulous job and cleaned everything up when they were finished.

Cutters Edge did excellent work on our back yard. They removed all the old, rotten railroad ties, built a new retaining wall and stairs, built a beautiful brick patio, and installed sod. Everything looks amazing, and the price was great! Will definitely hire again when were ready to do more!

Cutters Edge is a great company as evidenced by the other reviews. Just be patient during the busy season as it can get a little crazy in this industry. They are not perfect (no one is) and could improve in a few areas but are honest, dependable, and communicate effectively. What more could we ask for? I have had the pleasure of watching this company grow into a trusted, responsible landscaping business here in Albuquerque. There are 3 employees and each one is a pleasure to work with. They each have diverse experience in the field and compliment each other well. Whether it is landscaping, lawn care or sprinklers, you wont regret hiring them. Plus, they are properly licensed and insured for the work they perform which is very important to me and my family after hearing about so much negligence regardong other businesses in the past. We contacted Cutters Edge after letting our yard go to seed for a couple of years. It was a large job (one acre) and took multiple days. We initially met with Grant who helped us design a plan that would look neat and organized, rather than scruffy and unkempt. The Cutters Edge crew added mulch, gravel, removed Oleander bushes, replaced old edging and added new edging to define different areas of the yard. They also treated for goats heads and nightshade which have been a problem in the yard that we found we were unable to manage. Cleanup was well done and workers were always on time. Grant will also help you to work within your budget.

We have used Grant and his team at Cutters Edge Pro Services for many of our properties, both our own personal investments, and those of our clients. If you need an honest and reasonably priced landscaper I highly recommend Cutters Edge!! I submitted a quote form online and had a call back the same day! The owner Grant was able to come the next day -on time- to discuss my lawn needs and I received a free quote via email within hours! I had several issues that needed addressed from my previous landscapers (Camelrock landscapes) work that was not to code. Grant didnt try and up sale services- just gave me my options and let me decide with zero pressure. The team was on time, super friendly, professional and didnt leave any sort of mess. Probably even left things better than they found them. Yanik did all of the irrigation sprinklers/piping repairs and was great to work with. When he was finished he made sure to let us know everything that was done, made sure our controls were all on and working and walked us through all of that! For reference: lawn was aerated and fertilized, sprinkler head replaced, irrigation line run to attach to existing line, Excavated existing sprinkler valves, repaired diaphragm on leaking valve, installed new backflow devices 6 above highest sprinkler head. Again, great people to work with and will definitely use them again!

I can say with great confidence that I made the best decision to use Cutters Edge LLC. For all my landscape needs. Every year they take care of my weed & insect spraying. They have also converted my backyard into a place that I feel is safe for my children to play in. It was a pleasure working with Grant and his crew. Once we got the landscape plan developed the work was timely, and professional. I only had to wait less than a week to have them start (other companies have had me wait >6wks). Grant worked with me to keep the project within my budget. Just want to share what a great company to work with. We had Grant and his guys out a year and a half ago to put in a raised border wall separating our lawn from our perimeter plants as well as choosing some new plants to go around our new water feature. They are quick to respond, fairly priced and do nice quality work. Nice crew of men to work with. We called them again a couple of months ago to have another area of our yard reworked due to having had a tree taken out. They leveled out the area, built us a firepit and a new little flower bed area using the same border stones as previously installed. It was great that they could use the same stone as they had previously used, to keep both parts of the yard harmonious and flowing. Great crew! They installed a paver patio with an intricate design in our backyard. They were prompt, worked tirelessly, and completed a total makeover of our outdoor living space. Grant and his team had to go through the house to get to the backyard and they made sure to make as little of mess as possible. We are so happy with the finished product! He came with a great idea for our small backyard and executed wonderfully. Even after he came to give the quote he thought of other ways after to make it more affordable for us and also more creative. We were blown away at his customer service. We had received a few other quotes prior to meeting with Grant and they were outrageous and not even as helpful. Grant seemed genuine, fair, and helpful from the very start. Grant Jacobsen and his crew with Cutters Edge, LLC completed a pretty significant backyard landscaping project (weed removal, sod, gravel and crusher fines) for me in Rio Rancho recently. His price is affordable---not the absolute cheapest and by far not the most expensive (yes, I did obtain 4 diff estimates). The peace of mind having a company that is licensed, bonded and insured is a definite bonus. His team was efficient, clean and detail-oriented... I am looking to have him complete some work in my front yard soon...and would recommend him to any of my friends/family without hesitation.

We had an excellent experience using Cutter s Edge for our back- and side-yard landscaping. Grant was willing to provide a detailed quote for the cost of each part of our project, so we could know where the money was going (none of the other landscapers we spoke with were willing to do this). He provided feedback on choice of materials and listened to our ideas (other landscapers ignored what we detailed out and designed what they wanted to do). He immediately mentioned that he was wanting to bring in another contractor (All Seasons Contracting, that were also licensed, bonded, insured) for our job and made sure we met with and were in direct contact with them as well.
