An update to my one star is a MINUS 5 * true Greene has still not fixed my lawn. My front lawn is completely dead and full of weeds. I was told by a MANAGER, they re sorry, but they overfertilized it and that s why it s dead. They offered to dethatch and seed @ no charge , which is lovely because they are the ones that destroyed my lawn, to which i pre-paid for the entire season. Funny when they arrived at my house to provide the free services I was told the listing as to why my lawn looked the way it did was a drought season and it done as a courtesy.!! Why would I be the only lawn in the neighborhood that has a drought issue but yet I pay for lawn service and have a sprinkler system when many do not and theirs all look great! Two weeks later I see no difference it s still dead and full of weeds five messages and two emails left and no one s returning my calls. . I m told the same thing every time I call someone will get back to you within two business days. I m still waiting. Do not do not do not use TruGreen. !!!!!! Guess this is why we gave laywers ! Absolutely HORRIBLE service. I used them years ago was convinced to use again this year and I now have a completely dead front lawn. I have a sprinkler system and pay for a service and I have the worst looking lawn in the neighborhood. I ve always been told I had the nicest Lawn. This is heartbreaking.. I ve called four times email three times only to be told they will try to get some here to look at it eventually looks worse and more dead every day, I had service come last week and invoice left saying your lawn looks great . In fact my lawn is completely dead. I m told that possibly needs to be dethatched. I don t think there was anything ever put on my lawn and they actually ruined it and not taking any accountability. I ve gotten nothing but a complete runaround..

Theyre overpriced and will harass you until you buy a service from them. They wanted over $500 to come out and overseed my 1/4 acre lawn. I made the mistake of calling them to see how much they charge for that service and now they wont stop calling me. Do not do business with these vultures.

I called to sign up for this service. Within the hour, I had decided to cancel because I had gone with a landscape service instead. When I called to do so I was told I could not cancel until I received a letter in the mail from in 3-5 days. Absolutely unacceptable. I spent over an hour on the phone with them trying to cancel. Once I told them that if they did not cancel this account immediately, I would report them to the Better Business Bureau. I did receive a call back and they finally told me they would cancel the account/service. Unbelievable run around with customer service, I would not do business with this company.

We just started the perimeter control this year. We previously treated for pests on our own. Very happy to say so far no ants or ticks at all. Very happy with our choice to use True Green!

I was happy with the results last year, but thought it could look better. I do think tru green does the best they can. Dont think they can read. I clearly have a no soliciting sign on my front door at eye level when you approach my steps. Yet, they still ring the doorbell bell. Obviously, the person has never done shift work.

I used this company for two years and it is the worst my lawn has ever looked. They also try to sell you a million other services. They will also use them as an excuse as to why the weeds are so bad. I never signed up woth them this year. I received letters but tossed them out because the previous two years they would always call and you could get a lower price. This year I received no phone calls They just showed up at my house and applied chemicals. When I called to see what the heck was going on they said I had to call and cancel. The previous two years I never had to call to cancel I spoke with someone and I was never signed up until we agreed on a price. When I called to say hey I dident sign up for this service Anna was very consistent in telling me I would have to pay for the application that was put down that I never agreed to receive. They also had the wrong phonenumber somehow(they called me correctly last year) and never sent a email.Thank god my dogs werent outside, they could of got out. My next step is BBB unless they decide to make it right and not charge me. But if I were you and looking into a lawn care service I would stay far far away from true green.

They came out for the first application on the day they said they would but did not clear off the driveway and the walk ways from the fertilizer that was used. We have a puppy and this concerns us

DO NOT USE TRUGREEN LAWN CARE! They are the most unprofessional company as a whole. There is a lack of communication between their workers that actually come out to the property and the main office. Even after we did not renew our services, TrueGreen showed up and started spraying while my dog was using the backyard. My husband was not home, but saw them arrive and begin spraying on the Ring camera. He called the office and they said that they had no way of getting ahold of the people servicing our lawn. This is not the reason that we cancelled their service, however. TruGreen was told numerous times to not spray our neighbors trees. These trees are around 15 feet tall and were healthy and hearty before TruGreens services. Now, four of them are dead. It will cost my neighbor $1500 to replace each tree plus labor costs, this is around $6000. TruGreen has no record of our complaints about them spraying our neighbors trees and the customer service representative said its because they dont always choose to log their calls. I am waiting to hear back from the branch manager about compensation for my neighbors trees. I will update this post with the results of the conversation. Do not let TruGreen treat your lawn.

I signed up last week to have grub and lawn treatment service. It was to be paid when service was done. They charged me up front for the whole year and for services I didn t even ask for. Thank god they did not do any work at my house. They caused overdrafts in my bank account and would not reimburse me for the overdraft fees. I would never recommend them and if I could give negative stars I would. Stay away!!!

I complained about my lawn 3 weeks ago. Very nice conversation with Valerie (I think that was her name, a bit of a language barrier there). She advised me that I would here from my technician for a conversation and/or a visit. Nothing yet... no calls, no visit, no nothing.3 weeks... Am I supposed to presume this gets addressed on his next application visit??? because that is not what was discussed. Very disappointed. Kevin Hicks Albany NY I upgraded my rating to 3 stars. I did speak to my technician on the day of service. I requested a technician to make an appointment with me and not necessarily on his scheduled service date. I did speak with a representative of tru-green and set up a text notice system that can track approximately when what time he will be there. 1 reason it was 3 stars instead of 4. The text system said he would be there SOON. 2 hours later he was there. The technician was pleasant and very professional. He made some suggestions that I will consider. After the application he applied today, I will review my assessment after I see results.

They missed my airation, I had one service done, the missed scheduled or missed two. Technician had no personality and had no time to answer any of my questions. I cancelled my service after one application. Took 3 calls before someone figured out how to refund my credit card. When I say this I mean it, Tru Green are the most incompetent company I ve ever dealt with. Horrible. Would not be surprised if I had to call them again to refund my money.

These guys constantly apply fertilizer and don t label when it has been done, I have been sick for a few days now after mowing a couple lawns with your tags on it I seriously hope there s not a connection there because I will take legal action

I signed up for tree and shrub service on June 4th. Despite several calls trying to get a visit scheduled I could not. After they missed the contract date to perform the service I cancelled and asked for a refund. It really bugged me that I wasted an entire month waiting for treatment while my ash trees were infected and dying.

They know what they are doing. Ive never had any issue calling them back If any spot is missed.

This company really deserves -10 stars. Trugreen is the absolute worst company I have ever delt with, please save yourself the time, money and stress. I beg you not to fall into the trugreen trap like I did, I am now out hundreds of dollars not to mention additional stress and hours spent on the phone with their customer service and management leading absolutely no where. I have a lawn full of over grown weeds now because of their neglectful service techs I chose to trust this company and that was a huge mistake. If you have the time to be home while the service techs are there and watch them like a hawk that is the only way this place would possibly be worth the money. Thank you trugreen I am now out hundreds of dollars, you seriously suck. Also if you respond to this review saying to call, I ve already spoken to about 10 different people and it s led nowhere. I ll attach a photo of my disgusting yard that had 4 services in a 2 week period and still nothing happened to these weeds. I understand things like this could take time but the very first application I had in may the weeds turned brown and were drying within hours. So how come after 4 services in a 2 week period (techs kept coming back bc there were no results) my lawn looked like this?

Ive been a TruGreen customer every year since 2017. Results in 2017 through 2022 were mediocre at best, but as I dont use my yard often, I didnt change companies. This year has been beyond bad. My yard looks absolutely terrible - worse than it did before I started using chemicals on it. I dont know if its the treatments, the chemicals, or the employees, but I feel like Ive been robbed of hundreds of dollars. Take a look at the pictures I posted and ask yourself if this is how you want your yard to look.

First and foremost the rating is for Jamel the man that did the job. He covered the close to 2 acre property with treatment thoroughly. The business is just that, overwhelming people and rushing them to do the job so they increase their bottom line. All the while probably claiming that they can t get good workers. For the size of the property they should have a mobile spreader to apply, which they probably do but then again they are looking first to make money. So keep this in mind. Also be present and ask to look at everything. The paperwork stated the worker had 22 minutes to complete my application. Which was not possible to do a thorough job like any customer would want. Being present and watching made it right and Jamel who did a fantastic job in the heat made the difference. So I suppose the stars here are for Jamel and I.

Horrible service. Charged for an acre of land, yet they barely do half our property. We have to call everyone to let them know the service wasn t completed. We have cameras on our entire property. half the time they don t notify us they are coming, barely flag the property and several times don t leave explanation of product being sprayed. When you call they say they will send someone out again. I shouldn t have to babysit trugreen. We will no longer be using their service.

I have used true green for 2 years, during this time they randomly skipped the back yard or side yard etc. and would sometime come back when I complained. They constantly missed weed spots and areas that needed attention. Some areas got burned. The good results are about the same if you just put down a 3 step fertilizer your self. Last year I opted for the aeration and over seeding which did not take or show any improvement, they agreed to do it again this year but skipped 50% of the lawn. When I called and asked them to correct it they told me they don t think the sq footage they measured is correct and now sent someone to remeasure and should not have to correct any issues because they messed up the first time. Bottom line use someone else who can show better results and are much more responsive. It s not worth the price they are charging especially with all the extras they try to add on. Would give 0/5 if possible

This was our 1st time experience / 1st service - Overall it was a well coordinated / communicated activity by TruGreen.

Very very bad service. On 9/16/23, got call based on my interest in aeration service. Jim sold me the idea and insisted to prepay and confirm whole service as it takes 7-10days wait time for service and not miss my spot in the queue. I agree more than aeration/ on the whole annual package. On 9/17 got automated call that service in 9/19. I called back Jim asking that someone should call me to turn-on sprinklers remotely for them to see the heads. No call or message, supposedly services was performed and got notification on 9/20 it was done without any communication to turn on water when over-seeding was done or for later. Horrible service, wondering how did it even get 3.1, must have been gave or paid reviews.

Specifically told them they needed to treat behind fence. There was notes on my account. Last year I used a different company, And they didnt treat behind the fence even though I kept calling. So here we go, my second treatment, And I already had to call. I back up to an alley and I have grass with tons of weeds on the other side of my fence and I pay to have that treated. Fast forward. October. Had to call yet again because they forgot the back. I dont even think ive had the same technician twice. They came back to do the back and did the whole yard again. I was worried about over Fertilization and my dog in the yard, called twice yet to hear from the local office, its been hours. I also did cancel my service! Customer service is bottom on their list apparently. I was told by the second rep that if my lawn was damaged, they would come back to repair it. Also left my gate wide open. I never want them back on my property again. Horrible! Also..my lawn looks worse then it before they treated it. At least last years company made my lawn look good. They just kept forgetting to do part of the lawn.

*******************UPDATE****************** Trugreen finished their treatments on my lawn. The only thing missing was what I contacted the company for in the first place which was seeding. Trugreen sold me package to promote grass health, kill weeds, and kill grubs (which I specifically told them I didnt need). The technicians applying the treatments even went as far to mention the lack of grass and bare patches on the property. I contacted Trugreen who said they would review the tapes. They called me back a few days later saying the records were deleted and could not access them anymore. They were willing to refund me $287 of the $800+ spent. Trugreen walked away with hundreds of dollars of my money while failing to provide the service my yard actually needed. Please ask me why I would want you to fertilize and weed control my dirt that isnt growing anything? This is why I asked you to come out and evaluate originally. (Backstory, I purchased a house last year that is a fixer upper.) I will not be using Trugreen next year. I have spoken to a few representatives who were less than helpful with my issues. My first service I was given 2 days notice (they are supposed to give you 24-48 hours notice) and they did a good job. The next time they came I received the automated appointment phone call while they were spraying at the house. I had to cancel a fence contractor I scheduled 3 months in advance because of the chemicals they sprayed. I would have postponed Trugreen but they were already spraying when I got the alert. This delayed that contractor another 2 weeks. When asked about the automated phone call mix-up I was told They had no control over it. This happened again when my landscaper showed up to dig out a large section of my back yard. Still no resolution. They showed again with same day notice (about 2 hours) the day after I had a BBQ for my daughters 1st birthday. Had they contacted me in advance, I would have cleaned up the yard instead of them spraying weed control around my kids toys. It was also raining that day while they were treating which is funny because it says on the work order For best results do not water your lawn for 24 hours. Last time I checked rain is water and therefore should have been rescheduled. I raised this concern, along with the lack of notice, to corporate (again) and they gave a generic response that didnt even deal with the concerns. No quality, no customer service, none of my money.

Our lawn has turned into a nightmare. The technician came and applied fertilizer. The chemical damaged our lawn so badly that you can actually see the path that the technician walked. I contacted TruGreen by phone several times asking for assistance and was told theyd put in a service call for a supervisor to come out. I also reached out to them via Facebook. Today a note was left on our door saying they did an assessment (but didnt knock, citing COVID, also didnt call) and notated things like crabgrass. They also provided tips for the lawn, such as leaving it longer in the heat (which we do), providing ample water (which we do), but ignoring the condition that the lawn was in, as seen in the pictures. This has been extremely disappointing.

I signed up for a quote (under the impression they did mowing but found out after email sign up they do not) so I quit out of the program. Just yesterday I signed up, and Ive gotten 3 texts 4 voicemails and multiple missed calls. Now looking at reviews I wouldnt use them even if they did lawn mowing. Negative

I called this business to treat my lawn and tree due when I noticed that my tress suffered a fungal infection. In my haste to have this problem treated, I quickly pre-paid for treatments through this service. Unfortunately, the customer service representative misspelled my email address and phone number, so I never heard back after being charged. I called back, suspecting an issue. After being routed through three (!) different people and departments, I quickly asked to cancel their service. The representatives gave me a hard time and seemingly wouldnt accept this decision. After a half hour phone call, I only obtained a mere reassurance that I could likely get a refund of my payment. This, despite never signing their contract and no work being performed! I shudder to think how poor their actual service is, if the customer care is this bad. Stay away.

So upon community survey of lawn care specialists, I came across TruGreen. Independently owned and operated the reviews are just about the same. Based on employee feedback, the extreme weather conditions theyre obligated to work under is beyond humane. Mind you in the midst of COVID19 where any cough or sneeze can persuade you to call in late or call out it is absolutely heinous to expose employees to these policies if any are in place. Moving forward I would recommend the Department of Labor alongside an attorney be of interest if an employee finds suit. Lawn care? Why spray the world with more bad employers?

I am very disappointed because of the way my grass looks. When called, I was informed that Trugreen uses chemicals to get grass to dormate in hit dry weather. While I appreciate that, I never get a chance to enjoy healthy looking grass for the past few years that I have been with Trugreen. I requested my money back but did not get it. I will never use their services nor recommend it to a friend.

They took over for a local company that I had been using (not sure why) and made one application in the fall. Over the winter I got several mailings which I knew were contracts. I just chucked them all since I didnt want TruGreen. In the spring they just showed up one day (while I was on vacation), without any advance notice, which was customary from the previous company - to let me know they be out in 1-2 days and let them know if that wont work. Nothing from TruGreen. Now they want me to pay for the service. Customer service has been pathetic when I called to get this squared away. I was told 2-3 times that theyd have a manager call. No manager ever called. Honestly, these people are unprofessional and unfriendly. Theyll take advantage of you for the every last dollar. EDIT-ADD: After the review TruGreen reached out to me and I finally had a calm conversation with a manger. After discussing the situation, she assured me she would make this go away. Looks like they are following through (will update if they dont).

Set up service with this company and prepaid for six visits. I explained I wanted to be home when service was completed and was told that would not be a problem and to let the local office know when they called to schedule. The next communication I received was an automated call telling me someone would be at my house the next day (Thursday). I immediately called the toll free number and informed them I would not be home and That it would need to be on a Monday or Tuesday. I was told no problem and that I would get a call on Friday and given a time for Monday or Tuesday. Someone showed up today. I cannot confirm if any work was done but I do have a piece of paper saying they did something. I called the toll free number again and was told they would inform the local office of my issue and it would be 48 hours to get a call back. Again I cannot confirm any work was done because I was not here. Next call is to credit card company to get a refund. Took minutes to respond to my inquiry online but takes 48 hrs when there is a problem.

Horrible and expensive! I paid for the entire summer upfront and got no service in July and August! My lawn has never looked worse. When I called to complain I was told I would get the last application in November. Don t walk, Run from this scam!!!

We had our Front and back lawn aerated by Trugreen. They called before they came. They came on the date that was previously arranged. They were fast and courteous.

I have used TruGreen Lawn Care for several years to keep my lawn and shurbs healthy and looking fine.

Weed control and pesticide are working effectively on my lawn, still needing seeding.

Poor customer service. They say they will call you back, never do. Last year fertilized lawn and ended up burning it. Told me I was mowing too short. I mow at 31/2 inches all year. They also tell you they are doing one service and they end up doing another I am very dissatisfied with this company, not worth the money.

Complete rip off company!!! Run away!!!

I paid for two treatments. They put down one. Had to call them to get my second. Originally called to get crab grass treatment. The people you speak to have no interest in what you are interested in just what they want to sell you. I was looking for help all I received was smoke up my bottom. Really disappointing experience.

Set up service, credit card was billed. No one showed up, it s been 2 weeks and they are claiming I didn t finish setting up an account. No one has gotten back to me, been on hold with 5 different people to figure this out. Definitely will be using a different company for service. *6/2/21* Update They refunded the money to my account but also said I never paid or set up service, not sure how that works but I got my money back. Definitely won t be making the mistake of contacting them for future work.

Same comments as the rest, they set me up, took my money, never showed up after a month. I called back and they said they d send someone immediately. Same story, no one showed up. FIRED!

Good service. But they need to be careful when applying fertilizer. Some burn spots from fertilizer spills.

My lawn has never looked as bad as it does now. Zero communication with local branch, you just get a central call center that gives you the typical scripted answers. I was no showed for an appointment, I had to call 3 days in a row to get a service date, they said it would have to be 2 weeks out.. I cancelled the service. Three days later after I cancelled I get an email that a service is scheduled for the next day. I called again told them not to come that the service was cancelled. They showed up anyway unauthorized after they were told not to. Their reply, we are so sorry, not sure how that happened This might be the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. If I could give negative stars I would.

Well - after using Lawn Dawg for years (which was then bought by Truegreen) I can say with confidence that the quality of the service has gone downhill in the last few years - the nadir of which was yesterday - when the tech put a tag on our door notifying us of the service he had just completed and yet - no service was completed at all! I was at home and witnessed them drive up, place the tag - and drive away. I got in the car - chased them down - asked why they didnt service the property - and was told that they sprayed a few weeds back by the pool. (I doubt this very much). I asked them to come back and they said that the work order didnt permit them to come back - that I would have to call the office. I called and the CSR said that he would have them come back and would have a regional manager call me to resolve the matter. They didnt come back and I got no phone call.

This company is awful. Terrible. My lawn looks the worst I have ever seen it and after 4 calls to customer Service I still can not talk the local branch who is giving me this terrible service. I watched them on my camera literally not treat vast parts of my lawn and just leave. Stay well clear, this is rip off and you will regret service from the Albany branch

Consistent with the other recent reviews - my lawn has never looked so bad! I have spoken to four different representatives and have yet to have someone come out to address the invasive weed, crab grass and nut-sedge that is mass multiplying in my yard. Each contact yields a different promise. A service manager will be out to meet with you and discuss the issues in your lawn is what one will promise. Next person - no, they dont get involved; the technician can handle it they have everything they need. If the technician can handle it why do I have the problem?? The technician should have been handling it all along. I had these issues before the last visit and now they are worse. Installed a ring doorbell, will now be able to see if they actually treat the lawn or just place the signs and receipt. I prepaid this year but wont be renewing. Dont waste your money - it will cost more to fix it when it gets out of control.

I agreed to a 6 treatment service. It was supposed to be done every 4-6 weeks and the second treatment was 8 weeks later. There was no problem with weather at that time. A tech came out and investigated but I got no response from TRU GREEN. I called and complained and was offered $15 off future treatments with no offer to repair damage. I had a virtual conversation and sent pictures over a month ago and received no response. I ve had two calls offering more service and complained again to no avail. TRU GREEN will kill your grass for you and never offer to remedy the situation.

First time they never showed and I didnt get noticed till the day that they didnt show till after 10:45. The second time they showed and after 10 minutes maybe 15 the girl just left no explanation didnt tell she was leaving just left. I would not recommend these people at all.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I pre-purchased a six treatment Lawn care plan. they did one April 24th, June 18th, then not again until August 25th. I had complained multiple times to no avail. I had burned spots I suspect was from over fertilizing in spots on my lawn and now my lawn is full of weeds. Never a treatment for over 2 months in the growing season!!! Then they were going to come and treat the weeds, and NO, all they did was an lawn insect control (grubs) which were already treated for at an additional cost back on June 18th. I read the ticket. No weed control. Awful company with the worst customer service. Customer service only routes you to a call center. DONT DO IT. If you value your lawn dont use this company!! I had been a multiple year customer...as they bought out Lawn Dawg...and gave them more than enough chances. I feel so gullible. my Lawn has never looked so bad! I will contact the better business bureau. As they do not hold up their end of the contract.

I needed to ask the technician one simple question that would have required a less than 30 second phone conversation. After calling the TruGreen phone number multiple times with the phone rep promising me that someone would call me back no one ever called back. This is not worth the frustration. I will be cancelling my service and going through another company. They couldn t return my call that would have taken less than a 30 second response. I really wanted to like this company and I set my hopes too high. If you have poor customer service then you have absolutely nothing to offer. Good Luck with that.

I paid for a series of 6 treatments and so far this year, they have only come and done two treatments and it is almost September. Our lawn is full of weeds that we expected would be better controlled with more frequent treatments. I have also noticed that they only come out when I call or contact them.

The salesperson came to my house told me I would be paying a certain amount, then they came to my house my account was charged more than twice that amount. I called immediately and canceled. That was in June. I got a call from trugreen in July about tree bugs I might have (I don t have trees in my yard) I told that person I don t have trees and I canceled my service. I get home one day in august and they did a service and charged my account! I called and they said they would cancel my service. I got home the other day and they came again!!!! They charged my account over $100! I called them and they assured me my account was now definitely canceled and they would issue a refund for the last two services. That was 9/13. My account was charged 9/14 after I spoke to them on the 13th. I called today and no one knows anything about a refund and it takes 48 hours to hear back. I have never in my life dealt with such a mess of a company. It seems no one knows what they are doing.

Absolute worst company on the planet. Called 5 different times and got 5 different answers. Poorly trained employees who have no concept of their own systems and policies. I cancelled with them years ago and went local for my annual lawn care needs. Needed a core aeration done this year and trugreen were the only ones who could fit me in. After constant wrong information from their employees I just cancelled and am renting the equipment to do it myself. Will NEVER give them a chance again for any type of service.

I enjoy using Tru Green because they text you when they will be there, they come and do their business, and leave you a receipt at the door. You dont have to be home and they dont bother you.

Last time a tech came they complained of weeds in the yard. Umm, that is why we paid them to start working on our lawn. This time, yesterday, they came to aerate the lawn and tore up our grass. If my husband wasnt at home, we probably would have called the police because it looks like someone vandalized our yard doing doughnuts in it. They say they can fix this; however this never should have happened in the first place and this isnt an easy or short fix. Plus, yes the weeds are still there. Not going to renew my contract. May have to call a lawyer if this doesnt get fixed properly. I could not be unhappier with their service. I used to have one of the nicer lawns, now I have the worst in the neighborhood and worst of all. My kids cant play in the grass. Do not recommend! With i could give negative stars.

Truegreen came and treated my lawn with weed killer and fertilizer by mistake. Im not even a paying customer and they still sprayed my entire front and back yard. Thankfully I had the ring video to record the entire thing or you wouldnt belive it happened. The worst part is they did this a week after I seeded, dethatched, and aerated my own lawn. Edit: They followed up and had someone come reseed my lawn the following week. Ive never paid for their service but I appreciate them sending someone out to come take care of the lawn like they said they would.

Like most say, if I could give 0 stars I would. Harrassing phone calls are still occurring after Ive cancelled their service three years ago. I have the rep say things like, Well, I guess you like weeds in your lawn, and just recently, If you dont want us to keep calling you, just give us your service. These phone calls are threatening and probably illegal. Never experienced anything like it in my life.

Just got too expensive

Used them for 5 Years straight. Last year 2019 i had too many weeds everywhere. Spoke to them, they took pictures and i was told that they will spray extra rounds..(For a EXTRA FEE). I Paid close to $600 for the Year. Find another Company guys.

They are only fast at charging you. Paid for full year service in winter and didn t get anything done until May. The dandelions have bloomed several rounds!

TrueGreen is impossible. The only thing that is worse than my lawn is their communication. They left our gates opened and my dogs got out. Called with concerns with no return calls. Telemarketers call once per day.for a renewal after several cancellation notices.

The worst,waited over a month for a tech to come out and do soil samples and give me a plan to get lawn to grow. They never did.i cancled their services and went to another company. After the new company came and reseeded true green came out of nowere and put chemicals over brand new seed. Beware dont do business with them.

Signed up for tic spraying. Signed up early April. May 27th still not service. When I called they say we will be out next couple days.

I bought a grub treatment 2 months ago no showed called again guaranteed that they would be here last week and no showed again. People on the phone were nice but I still have a grub issue and was out 150 dollars for 2 months. Wont ever use again.

Do not use this company. Much like the other reviews- they are great at taking your money- really good at it- and will even give you a lower rate as they did with me to get my money. Their follow through and customer service is the worst around- please save your money- this company is much more interested in taking your money and hoping you stay quiet to get nothing or very little in return. They came to my house once after I paid and only after I had to remind them- then never showed again. When I called they said whoops. I asked for my money back and am still waiting.

Do not use this company RIPE OFF! I have to constantly call to get Trugreen to come out and service my lawn. They cancel appointments then push out for another week. Can never talk to anyone at the local office have to deal with Corporate office who always say they put in the request but no one ever gets back. Promised applications every 4-6 weeks currently going on 8 weeks since last application. Had to call 5 times in one week just to get someone out for mosquito defense application.

We used them once before. Our bad. Same bad service. They lie, lie, lie. We had a kid come and never did the back yard, but claimed he did when asked. I watched the one from start to quick finish. As soon as his little ear bud phone went off he crouched in my driveway to talk because apparently his phone call was more important. That was the end of my service for the day. Never even did the side, never finished the front. Half a _ _ ed job. I even took photos. Customer service sucks. Promises, promises, no delivery. Our lawn looks like hell. I swear they water the stuff down. Never again. You have to fight to get your money back. Our advice, find another company.

DONT USE THIS COMPANY!! First of all, it is now August and we just recd our second pesticide application. We paid for 6!! I guess their 6th application will be in November???? Ha ha. They are the ones laughing all the way to the bank!!!! Secondly, the enthusiasm while applying fertilizer and pesticide doesnt inspire confidence in their seriousness of their job.Swish swish and they are done. Third, give me a break. Their report of our lawn last time they were here said- Lawn has weeds Ya think so?? What kind????? Duh??! I write to them.....still waiting .. probably Ill be waiting for a reply sometime in November along with my last pesticide application. Will be canceling contract.

Same exact as everyone else...they schedule appointments don t show up...they have weed control in pouring rain which doesn t work and then they tell us to call in a week to reschedule we have done that and promised they would be back within 2 days, No one showed up...you always have to call to get scheduled and then they make excuses as to why you were not scheduled or contacted about why you haven t been scheduled...google review they always say please contact to discuss issues but have tried that multiple times and just get the same run around about oh it s scheduled next week, again to not show up.

Do not use TruGreen. I paid in full for tree and shrub services and lawn application services. I paid for 7 lawn applications and 5 tree and shrub applications. So far I had 3 lawn applications done since June. Each month I was scheduled, the service ended up being rescheduled, and it had nothing to do with the weather. One time it was a mistake in the scheduling, 2nd time the technician could not find the house, and apparently just moved on to the next location, the 3rd time, after viewing my camera s ,areas of my lawn were not done, had to wait 2 weeks for the technician to come back to finish that application. If you want the job done right, I try to be home, but that is next to impossible because they will give you a time frame of 5 hours, example...technician will be arriving between 7 am and noon. Then noontime comes , no technician, then the time frame extends to 12 to 6. It s ridiculous. The customer service is rude, tries to talk over you, they have no way to see where and when the technician will arrive at your home? Really? Very poorly run company if you do not know exactly where your employees are located. Trying to get a refund on the remaining applications and it has been a nightmare. Extremely dissatisfied.

My lawn has shown no improvement over the last several years with tru green. They will come reapply weed killer but it never makes a difference. Will not be renewing!

They came 3 times & put down chemicals down (seems someone else wasnt getting their service!). 3 weeks after I reported this they came out to evaluate . I told them they chemically burned my lawn, they said it was dried out & I didnt water. Hmm! I have an in ground sprinkler system on a timer. Also said the large weeds I showed them on front lawn they said was just a different kind of grass. I wish I could post pictures because my son pulled the giant weeds out in the gapping holes I now have in my lawn, there are numerous grubs. Funny that I paid for that service also. My neighbors do nothing with their lawns & it seems I have paid numerous dollars to have the worst kawn. Think twice before you sign up for any services

Worst Customer Service After 17 years of being a client, I am horrified with True Green. My lawn looks terrible and I can t get a callback. I have literally tried to call 7 times and have not gotten a return call. Today I tried an 8th time and was put into a voice mail that was FULL when I called to cancel my service. When I did get a live person I was told that a manager will ABSOLUTELY call me because my lawn now has damage. I plan to call my credit card company and dispute the charges.

TruGreen name must change to truBrown. My lawn is so healthy last year, then when i started truGreen my lawn grass died and weeds all over the place. I dont want to comment or do this but truGreen hurt me. I love and i take of my lawn so much to be destroyed like this.

Trugreen may provide the cost savings, but do yourself a favor and spend the extra money with a local company who cares about your lawn. Case-in-point, They just sprayed my lawn with Fertilizer. Problem is the lawn is covered in leaves, so they sprayed my leaves with fertilizer, Gee Thanks! Rather than come to my door and say Hey looks like you havent had a chance to rake, would you like to reschedule? They sprayed the leaves. UNREAL.

The technician who arrived today to do a tree/shrub fertilizer service hung a tag for the service, planted the yard sign, and didnt do the application, and sat in his van to drive away. Caught on camera. I promptly canceled my account.

I was wary when they took over Lawn Dawg. Burning of the lawns seems like a theme here with other customers. I have spent hundreds of dollars with them and yet they do not have the decency to stand behind their work. I have called twice and still no return call each time I get the canned speech about my call will be returned between 24-48 business hours. Meanwhile my lawn is the embarrassment of the neighborhood. Pathetic service.

Worst experience ever!!!!! Ive been doing my own lawn for years and decided to free up some of my time and hire what I thought was a professional. Within 3 months time, they destroyed my yard and all of my hard work. I have more weeds, clover, dandelions than i ever had along with brown spots and bare patches. Everytime you call the local number, you get the main office and all is they do is apologize and say someone will call you. Of course the local office never calls so you have to call back several times. Eventually you get a sales person that calls trying to sell you more services to fix the problem that they created! Then I called back again and the main office tries to give me services for 1/2 price instead of resolving the problem they created for free. Do not let tru green touch your lawn because they will destroy it. I dont know how to add pictures here or I would show you. I cancelled my service and now I have years to fix the damage they caused :(

When the gentleman came to weed and feed our yard, we pointed out an area that needed special attention and he agreed to so do. The weather was threatening rain and we asked him if the moisture would be a problem for the planned application to which he responded not unless it really pours. It really poured and we learned from the home office that there would be no problem with the feed portion; however, the weed application would need to be redone. A sweet young thing came over to attend to the requested spraying in our absence several days ago; however, there is zero indication that the weed eradicator he, two weeks ago, or she, several days ago, applied has done anything. Not happy with lack of results JVBP

Prepaid for service, big mistake. My lawn doesnt look terrible, but its full of crab grass and clover. I had to kill the dandelions because they didnt. Dont waste your money. Its been 3 months since I posted this review. Nothing has improved. I have complained numerous times and they have sent out a tech, but The tech they sent did not treat the whole lawn. He skipped the sides completely and only treated a portion of the lawn. You would think that after an entire summer of treatment that they could get rid of the weeds. Ordered an over-seed and aeration for $345. They came and tore up my front lawn after I had alerted the person on the phone about an area where grubs had obviously infested ; and they further hit and cut an underground electric line to my pool. I was forced to replace the underground line at a price of $1730, because code would not allow a patch on a pool electric line. After calls to NJ, Long Island, and Columbus Ohio ( Im in upstate NY), they finally offered a take it or leave it $200 credit against the lousy service. So, I was still stuck with $145 (net cost on the seed/aeration) for having them cause me an added $1730 expense I never would have had, if they didnt show up in the first place. My bad, as I should have read the awful reviews this company got. Never again!. Avoid these people at all costs

Trugreen treated my lawn for almost 3 years. My lawn is worse now than when they started out. They kept promising it takes time and shame on me for believing them. My lawn is completely covered in weeds and spots that are bare. Dont get sucked in to their lies. They do not provide the proper products or lay down the proper amounts. Beware. Pay a little more and hire a local, reputable company. Do not hire this horrible company. Look at the horrible reviews below. We are not kidding people. Im shocked theyre not out of business yet. They bought out Scotts lawn service who was excellent. Trugreen corporation should be ashamed

Since I hired True Green to service my Lawn, I have been having several issues with the quality of my Lawn. Last year they over sprayed the front of my lawn which killed the grass in that same section and when reported to True Green they said they will fix it next year. Obviously, this shows lack of customer service. This year there are several weeds and Crab Grass in several areas on my Lawn which are yet to be addressed by True Green, in spite of my repeated service requests. I would not recommend True Green to anyone in need of Lawn care.

If I could go lower that 1 star I would. 3 years of service and they still have not got the weeds under control.
