Do not use this company!!! His long lengthy texts will seem promising at first but then you wont hear from him. His guys will show up unannounced or hell text you at 6am. Our patio was power washer, new sand then sealed in May and it already needs to be redone. Terrible customer service, communication and overall quality of work.

Pretty happy with the work that was done. The new fire pit looks great. Selvin Jr was very professional through out the process. However, there were some coordination/schedule issues and I had to spray the area of work down with weed killer myself because they were growing through the mulch a week after the project was completed. But seriously, the fire pit looks great!

10 months after my drive way and patio were repaired - half of the polymeric send for which we paid premium price is washed away. There is no trace from the paver sealer. The pavers got stained as they never been sealed. In the process the workers damaged sprinkler system line in they cover it with send and put the bricks back without repairing the line.... How would you rate job like this?

Selvin wanted my business whereas most other companies couldn t be bothered to call me back. They went above and beyond when they fixed a part of my patio that wasn t a part of the job.

I contacted Selvin in March for a complete deck tear off and redesign. The project started as soon as the weather permited. There was one small hiccup and Selvin corrected it immediately. He did what he said her would do, the deck came out better than expected! The quality of work was clearly seen and the men were considerate and cleaned up everyday when they left. Selvin and his crew installed UniLock Pavers on our driveway and walkway. We chose the Elegance Copthorne paver three color blend in a herringbone pattern. This pattern was very time consuming having to blend the pavers on site. Selvin was at our house every day to check on things. At that time he gave us updates and answered any questions we had. His crew was hard working, polite and knowledgeable. They were easy to work with and did a great job. The finished project has immensely enhanced our property.

Selvins Landscaping replaced my daughters patio last year and she and her husband loved the job they did there. So Selvin was the first call I made when we decided to replace our 50 year-old blacktop driveway with a concrete driveway. Selvin and his crew were friendly and professional from start to finish. Selvin gave us three options for how to proceed. He handled the permit application with the village and all the inspections. There were many pleasant surprises. They rebuilt a small landscape wall next to the driveway and installed a drain pipe for the gutter downspout. They filled in new dirt and laid sod (not seed!) next to the driveway. Everything was left in better shape than they found it. We could not be any happier. They were the best!

I asked Selvin to replace old and rotted landscaping timbers that surrounded my backyard sidewalk. He came out and took measurements. In a few days he sent me a contract for the work as well as pictures of various colors for the brick work. I made my selection and in a couple of days his work crew was out putting in the brick work. They worked for two days on the project. My wife and I were very pleased with the results. I have always been pleased with the workmanship displayed by Selvins crew of workers. This has been the case for the landscaping of our house as well.

We hired Selvins Landscaping in 2020 to build a new paver patio, outdoor kitchen and paver front porch; they also re-landscaped our entire yard, front and back, including planting, new sod, lighting and drainage. Selvin was not the least expensive option we considered, but he charges a fair price and honors his word. Most importantly, he and his team did an exceptional job with our project. They delivered high-quality craftsmanship on every facet of the engagement. Selvins landscape designer, Alann, was a joy to work with and listened intently to our vision for our new back yard. Watching his design come to life has been breathtaking. Selvins foreman, Mauricio, consulted us on major decisions, communicated effectively and was courteous and friendly, as was the rest of his team. Rarely did a day of construction complete without a visit from Selvin himself (which is impressive given that our large project took multiple weeks to complete). Ive known Selvin for several years and hes completed many projects around my home. His first project was performing some landscaping, stonework and some planting to spruce up my yard. He and his team did a great job. what I liked about him is that he listened carefully and made good suggestions and when he heard what he thought was an unusual request he would try to find a way to accommodate it. Hes done a lot of stonework to fix my paver driveway and back patio including rebuilding crooked walls that I inherited from the previous owner. When I had a flood in my basement and he found out he asked if he could bid for the job. I wound up choosing his bid over the others. As expected, he did an excellent job with all the tile work in my basement along with all the drywall and painting work. Hes also done yard lighting, laying sod, planting trees, flowers and a host of other stuff for me. Reliable, honest, clean quality work, you get what you pay for and he has a good crew that he keeps in line. Id recommend him in a heartbeat.

Selvin and his crew removed massive amounts of snow from our roof and cleared snow from our gutters downspouts. Selvin s Landscaping provided us with an exceptional service experience and delivered a masterpiece of an outdoor living area. Our project involved a complete redesign and build of landscaping and hardscape construction in our front and back yard: driveway, sidewalk, walkway, stairs, patio, outdoor kitchen and fireplace, retaining walls, pergolas, lighting, fence, plants and sod, as well as other seemingly unrelated tasks such as major tuckpointing of existing masonry, for example. Our project started with a very thorough consultation and a detailed budget. This was a refreshing change from our consultations with other well-known firms. Selvin addressed all questions and concerns in a promptly and friendly manner. He went through the entire permitting process with the City of Elmhurst (which is very rigorous), and all inspections passed without issues. The inspectors commented on the high quality of workmanship to us on more than one occasion. Selvin and Roger came up with amazing suggestions and solutions to make our project an absolute success. Selvin s team uncovered some issues caused by our homebuilder (water drainage from downspouts for example). Selvin brought them to our attention and promptly addressed.
