TruGreen Lawn Care in Acworth

I called and cancelled my service with TruGreen in July because it wasn t working my lawn still had weeds despite their treatments. Even though I cancelled, they came back in August without my permission, applied fertilizer while I wasn t home, and then sent the bill to collections! I ended up paying just to get it over with, but this company is a nightmare to deal with. Stay away from these scammers!

After 4 treatments, by trugreen - I have had to overseed and spray weeds 2x now myself. Nearly 3 whole weeds died after 2 applications, yeah... NEARLY. They greened back up and spread. They didnt overseed at all, so after I sprayed and killed more weeds with homedepot yard products than TruGreen has, half of my yard is eroding now when it rains. I sent customer service 2 nasty emails and let them know I was firing them - not to come out again. A month later I received the automated service called to tell me they are coming out tomorrow. Ive spent 2x more money now because of the job they did - or rather, did NOT do, and should have just done it myself. West Cobb / Marietta area. Do NOT recommend Update 2021 - After telling Tru-Green multiple times to take me out of their database and that I never want to hear from them again I still receive TruGreen offers via USPS mail. Do not use this company, they cannot follow the simplest of instructions. Update 2024 - a couple of times in the last two years, I miraculously ended up back on their email subscription list somehow. All you can do is unsubscribe and hope it sticks. Brutal.

Tru Green always do a great job and spray well, they also leave a detailed account of what they do and ther staff are always pleasant, if for some reason they can t attend for the service they notify you and reschedule a new appointment, this would normally be due to bad weather. As far as the performance of your tech for this most recent visit goes, under very difficult circumstances (the prior service tech all but killed my grass) Earle did a great job. He listened to my very legitimate complaints and took the time to do what he could to mitigate the situation. I d like to have Earle as my regular tech.

TruGreen has been absolutely HORRIBLE to work with. We changed over to them from a different company and they completely ruined our lawn. We should have looked at the reviews because it looks like were not the only ones who have had issues with them. Weve had multiple appointments scheduled with supervisors and the people there keep saying our appointments are not scheduled on the day we put them in our calendars. They have no records of conversations that we have had with someone who did come out finally, and today we had an appointment with another supervisor who is ghosting us. This has been the worst experience. We will definitely be changing companies soon but we are really wanting them to fix the problems they caused. This is completely ridiculous.

We just opened an account with TruGreen, and they came out to treat my healthy grass which I have been caring for over the last two years. It was beautiful and very green, as I was preparing for a summer gathering, within two days of the application the grass was destroyed. I called the office to report the damages and spoke with a really nice lady by the name of Mrs. Babara, who was assigned to my case. It took a little time for them to get a landscaper to repair the damaged grass, but when they did come out, they were very pleasant and caring and they did a wonderful job, it was worth the wait. Mrs. Babara followed up with me almost every day to assure me that they were working on my case, and I am just happy that they kept their word. I have a big family gathering coming up soon and we will be having a lot of outdoor activities, I was afraid that they would not have met the deadline, but they did. This review is STRICTLY for Kelly out of Acworth GA. TruGreen decided they could just renew my services without my consent or knowledge for this year, and then expected me to pay them at their increased rate, and pulled funds from my account. I called and declined service after the very 1st offense. Unfortunately that didnt stop TruGreen from continuing to provide services that were cancelled. So I just got off the phone with Kelly, who was a very pleasant person on the phone to deal with. She negotiated an agreeable terms with me, understood the situation about what happened, and set a fair price to retain services. Overall if it wasnt for Kelly out of Acworth, TruGreen would have lost me as a customer. You should be thankful to have such a good employee that has a very positive demeanor and willingness to listen, understand, and figure out a solution.

The worst customer service .... techs dont complete work correctly and when you do a call back they charge you for them not doing the correct job. When I signed up for my service it was 70.00 a month but they said my service was 110.00 a month . They never called me about the charges till I canceled service. I will never use them again... nor suggest them to anyone ...

Omg ..I wish I never put my phone number on the inquiry page!! I ve been hounded by sales people the last three days! I told the TG guy that I wasn t interested since I found another pro greens man who networks with my landscaper..I blocked his number and he called back again from a different number again asking me if we needed his services !! Politely again I said No!! You people are worse than Used Car People!! STOP THE PHONE CALLS PLEASE !!

I was having a problem with crab grass and wild violets in my yard. The initial treatment didn t work. I called to see what I should do and was immediately scheduled for weed treatment specific to those two pesky weeds. The gentleman who takes care of my yard, KHARI, is always friendly and professional. He went above and beyond my expectations by also treating some wild violets that had gotten into my mulched areas and my garden! Thank you, Khari for being so attentive and doing a top notch job! Half the time, technicians dont do anything. Grass looks way worse/spotty. They make it impossible to cancel, and I now get calls DAILY from their telemarketers. Overall, I feel harassed by this company. It was like dealing with a used car sales man.

We were concerned having new sod so when our tech got there my husband spoke at length with him. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and treated the yard with the necessary product. Calling in you get nowhere but since you can see when your tech is coming chatting direct with them is best. They re the guys that ll get it done

We are so happy with our lawn service through TruGreen. As a business, first impressions are always important. TruGreen helps our customers see from the moment they pull in that we prioritize a high-quality environment. Kayla Norris has been incredibly polite and helpful when I had questions about our billing. She promptly provided me with multiple options, allowing me to choose the most convenient one for our business. I would highly recommend TruGreen for anyone trying to boost the quality of their lawn.

TruGreen essentially provides the exact same service as every other lawn care company, but at a higher cost than many. Our lawn was satisfactorily healthy under their care. Our primary issue was being billed for services the technician did not perform. We have 11 security cameras around our home - and if youre on our property I know exactly what youre doing - or not doing as the case may be. Second issue is that its impossible to reach anyone at the local office. Everything is routed to a call center even if you call the local number. Have reported several issues and promised by the call center person that a local supervisor would be in touch, which NEVER happens. Finally decided to take my business to a more local company. While they do provide service in several states, when I call the local office I reach a local representative. My lawncare specialist happens to live about 2 miles from my house. And the best part is, their services cost around 30% less than TruGreen - and some, such are aeration are about 50% less. Lime amendment is around $115 with TruGreen, but included with the basic service with our new company. TruGreen isnt the worst, but you can do better - and more affordably - elsewhere.

Worst lawn care service I have ever used I canceled my service a couple days ago and went back with grass roots never had an issue with them and I will stay with them Acworth location is complete garbage if you want to pay for weeds continue using this company if you want results go with the Company (Grassroots!!!)

I had new sod lay down in my backyard along with some French drains trying to have a nice backyard with grass. This was done September 11 of 2023. On September 12. Tru Green came out to treat my yard front and back. When I got a notification, I tried to call someone from Tru Green and only got the customer service representative at a corporate office. I told them to please not lay down any fertilizer or anything as I just had sod put down when I got home the Tru Green guy just left and on the note that said they put down pre-emergent on my new sod I googled to try and find out what that would do to my new sod and it says it will kill it and not route. It s obvious that , there was sod in my backyard with all the squares and why doesn t the technician know about this so then I called customer service again and got several different customer service representative that really don t know anything or have any idea how to help you. All they say, is a manager will be calling you or coming out in the next 12 to 24 hours and that does not happen , I did finally get to speak to a Timothy slack , a manager, and he said that he would have someone come out and put down organic fertilizer on it to try and help it that I believe happened on October 2, 2023 and on the notes it said again that they put down more pre-emergent. When I asked about it, he said he called the technician and he told him that he really didn t put it down even though he wrote it down in his notes??? That is insane business practices !! Mr. Slack said that we would access my lawn in the spring time as I was getting ready to go dormant last fall. Now that spring is here and I have several areas of dead sod that did not root. I have not been able to get a hold of any manager for the last several weeks. I keep on getting calls from customer service representatives in the corporate office that have no authority to help me all they say is that someone will be in contact with me and that never happens, meanwhile I have all this dead sod that was caused by Tru Green and I need to get it replaced. I am very unhappy with this.

Jenny c took time to talk to me about what she was treating and what she was seeing and one of the plans a big long tall firm tree is just underwater I had no idea. She was very thorough and then treated everything correctly in the way I would like to see things treated and I want her to be my technician moving forward. If I could give her a 10 star I would.

The service was complete, my only issue was I was sent a text the technician was at my property 5 minutes or so before he arrived. I was concerned he may have hit the wrong address. He did arrive and completed the service and answered some questions I had.

FIRST TIME CUSTOMER HERE!! I requested a specific day for my first service as I am a new customer with questions. They came prior to the scheduled day, so I was not home/available for the 1 April weed control service, & while I have noticed some color change on some of the weeds, I was not sure if the product was applied yard-wide or if it was effective. I called & an appointment was scheduled for today to re-treat my lawn & answer my questions. My technician, Khari was professional & helpful to answer my questions & explain the process prior to & during the treatment of my lawn. (THANX, KHARI!!!) I am going to take pictures today and watch for changes. COME THROUGH TRU GREEN!!

Khari H is amazing . I have had Trugreen service for several years, and Khari is the best I have ever had to service my lawn. He is an asset to the company. I hope he can continue to service my yard.

Make sure you avoid them at all costs. Someone was going door to door and we got signed up against our best judgement. They said that it was $25 a month and we could cancel at anytime. So they decided to charge us for $450 at once. On top of that all we signed up for was a small treatment to some shrubs that needed some TLC. So Trugreen decided to put signs in our yard letting everyone know that they care for it when they dont! I spend a lot of time making the yard look like it does and I was appalled to see them stick their signs in the yard without our permission. On top of this we called and cancelled over two weeks ago and still have not received any form of refund. These are scam artists and I strongly recommend avoiding at all costs.

Starting with 5 stars in Feb dormant season. I am impressed with the knowledge and expertise of the Trugreen tech who cam out! From the moment she arrived at my home, I could tell she was true professional. She took the time to explain the different treatments they were going to use on my lawn and answered all of my questions with confidence. Her report of my lawn was accurate with appropriate recommendations.

I have been a loyal customer of truGreen for well over 10 years. The last 2 years have been horrible. I have asked several times for a supervisor to call me and I have been told several times that he will be calling me in a timely matter. I have never been contacted by any supervisor. The technician has NO clue what he is doing or even where he is supposed to be spraying. He actually serviced my neighbors yard instead of mine and yesterday he said he couldn t complete the service due to my backyard gate being locked (my backyard doesn t get serviced) so no clue why he would need to get in my backyard when it doesn t get sprayed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!! Very unprofessional and they do not care about their customers. I will definitely be changing to another company as soon as I can find one in my location.

Where do I start: On March 5th, 2024, at 3:00pm, your technician (truck ID 223024) arrived at my home to complete my lawn treatment. I have multiple issues I would like to address: 1) My wife was waiting all day for the technician to arrive so she could speak to him on my behalf with questions regarding our lawn and specifically spring aeration. When the technician arrived, it was raining outside, and my wife watched the technician arrive. He was on his cell phone and remained on it the entirety of the service visit. The technician never came to the door and knocked even though the PDF document from the visit states Hello, I knocked on your door to speak with you about your service, Sorry I missed you. This is a lie from my wifes account and my video camera system. 2) My PDF statement states Products Applied: POTASH + PRE/POST WEED CONTROL Spray, 2.00 GAL/1000 SQFT with an applied amount of 36.9678 OZ with a total volume of 11.46 Gallons to 5730 square feet. It continues with BARRICADE 4FL 2.10 OZ and CHANGE UP 4.2 OZ. The technician did not apply any liquid substance on my lawn. A granular was applied to my lawn (verified by my wife and video system) and not over the entire area. The technician did 2 sweeps in the yard leaving over a ¼ of the lawn untouched by the product. I have a heavy granular presence in a strip down the center of my lawn with zero product touching the ends of the lawn approximately 3-4 feet from the concrete. Also, my side yard was almost entirely untouched with the granular substance. 3) I pay for front yard service ONLY as I am very particular about my back yard due to pets who are extremely sensitive to lawn products. Your technician entered the back yard and applied the granular to half the back yard and then left the gate halfway open after he left. I do not pay for the back yard, I do not want the back yard treated, and even if I did, it was only halfway done as well. I am a new customer to TruGreen. The very first treatment I had an issue with being sold a product I didn t ask for and I had to call and get that resolved. Now here we are at my second treatment and yet another issue. I left another company hoping to get better service with your reputation. However, I have not been impressed yet. I am not looking for free service, I am not trying to skirt the system. All I ask is to receive the services I pay for at the quality I expect and the quality you preach. Your technician was more interested in a phone conversation and getting out of the rain and to the next house than performing his job correctly. He put my pets in harms way with products they must avoid and did not even secure my gate properly. Had I not been out in the yard inspecting the work, my dogs would have escaped from my yard. And before you say: Email us, call us, etc... I have done ALL of those things. I have called every number I can find, I have chatted online, I have emailed the reviews email. Every person I talk to is at a call center. I ask to speak to my local branch and you refuse to allow me to talk to them. All I get told is A manager will call you within 48 hrs. That is not good enough. The GM of the Acworth GA branch needs to call me and not in 48 hrs.

I watch the application each time. Thus was by far the most thorough. He even took a hand pump to get specific areas. I would like this tech each time.

Automated call service when trying to reschedule service because no one called in advance so we can unlock our gate. They just show up randomly every time. Tech said notes were to ring doorbell. Called the number in attempt to update notes. I called # listed on Google was hung up on twice before I could say anything . Called the 3rd time, I explained my frustrations, could hear a group of his coworkers cracking up laughing in the background and he said, I will be right there and put me on hold for several minutes. Poor customer service. Came back and asked me again to tell me notes were updated. Survey never received as requested so sharing here. Not worth the 1 hour hassle or money.

I contacted TruGreen to get an estimate for lawn care. The quote they gave me was unaffordable for my husband &me as we are on fixed incomes. The customer service man kept being pushy even after I told him twice we did not want the service. He then hung up on me. The next day a local man from TruGreen called & I told him what happened. He apologized & said Oh that was a general call center & he proceeded to convince me he could do better. I told him we had chosen another company but thank you anyway. He kept being pushy, trying to change my mind. I became frustrated and had to become more direct in telling him no. I don t care for pushy sales people who don t listen to you. This is not a good company with which to do business.

POORLY MANAGED It is my opinion that they oversell and follow every question with the canned response of we re the largest in the nation , which does nothing for me as a customer other than create a lot of red tape. I called twice to discuss the multiple inaccurate text messages regarding my first scheduled service. With broken English, the representative stated she did not have access to that information. I tried to speak with someone from the local office in Marietta Ga, but was landed in what seemed to be an offshore call center. I requested to speak with her supervisor and her response was, I DO NOT HAVE A SUPERVISOR! At this point I made the decision to cancel the service prior to their first visit. If it s this difficult to speak with a local manager, I can only assume that I would be jumping through hoops as long as I was a customer with questions. The call center agent as well as the initial sales agent bragged on the size of the company, which means nothing to me as a customer. Proof that this claim had little relevance to good customer service was when I asked to speak to a local manager and was told it would be 24 to 48 hours before I may receive a manager call back. This is a landscape treatment company not a government office, so why is the manager hiding from customers? If they are the biggest, they should have adequate staffing to take immediate customer inquiries. My recommendation is find a small local well managed company. Stay away from TruGreen.

Worst company and customer service ever.

This company is absolutely horrible! Ive had them for a little over a month and both times theyve come out, the service was either done half correctly or not completed at all!!! The first time it happened, the technician came out and sprayed one aisle down my yard which is 15,000 sq, ft., and packed and left. I was watching him the entire time as well as him being recorded on my home cameras, since he pulled into my driveway. I even asked him if has complete because he had not done the entire yard and I had him on camera showing that the work was not completed. He got in his vehicle and drove off. The second time, I watched the techician spray my neighbors yard (who had Trugreen also). I received a text message about 10 minutes later saying that a tech had just arrived at my door. Upon realizing no one was there, I called the office and talked to the Supervisor to explain to him what was going on again. While I was on the phone with him, I received another text message saying that the job was complete!!!! I even forwarded pictures and videos to the manager for proof so he could see it for himself.

I have a standing monthly treatment with TruGreen. I called for treatment to my backyard because of the crabgrass and weeds, and they normally dont go in my backyard except to treat the rose bushes and other plants because I have dogs. They scheduled another treatment for my backyard right away. Thank u!!!

If I could post no stars, I would. I hired TrueGreen last year - paid upfront for lawn care and shrub care. One year later, all my neighbors lawns (who do not use TrueGreen) has started growing in green and lush, in comparison to mine - which is dead - worse then when I hired them. The biggest waste of my money, and on top of that - they kept changing my schedule and sometimes would note that they came by when in fact they never did. They also started charging me this year even though I had already canceled the services due to huge unsatisfactory results. False advertisement.

I called this company in 2022 for a ONE TIME aeration service. Clearly not listening, they scheduled me for 2023. 2 weeks ago they show up IN THE RAIN to do the work I did not ask for and proceed to get their machine so stuck in my side yard that they damaged not only the grass and grade but the irrigation and cable wires as well. Now, two weeks later, I get no response out of the company as to how they plan on paying for these damages. Worse yet, when you call customer service, they just hang up on you half way through the call. This company is a joke. I wouldn t use them if they were free.

Fernando went above and beyond. He was willing to move equipment down a hill into the backyard to take care of my grass. I really appreciate his willingness to help me out!

Terrible quality of service. They dont track progress to be able to know whether or not their products are working. They spayed the wrong yard on multiple occasions. They only pretend to care when you threaten to cancel services. Please see attached photos for what your yard will look like after 1.5 years of using trugreen. Terrible customer service.

Very please with the results so far. We have had service for 6 weeks and our grass is getting very green. Also had a few weeds sprout up before my next service date. They sent someone out here free of charge.

The technician was awesome. I havent met one that was anything other than great. Great bunch of guys.

The technician was friendly, and wanted to do a good job, but was unfamiliar with centipede grass and was not sure how much fertilizer to apply. So we opted for less rather than more since centipede cannot take large doses of nitrogen. Neither one of us are sure we got the right dosage. Technicians should be trained on whatever lawns and types of turf they are going to service

Said they came multiple times but my home security camera says differently. Yard was a giant patch of weeds. Done with TruGreen. They changed.

Not sure why the paperwork always says they come to my door after but I didn t answer. I work from home with my office right beside the front door and I have a ring camera. No one ever comes to discuss anything. I ve only had 2 services so I can t speak yet as to improvements on lawn. Will update on that.

I finally canceled my service with TruGreen. This year has been the worst when it comes to service. Multiple times, they say the TECH came out and completed services, but he/she did not I work from home. My yard has looked horrible the entire year. Something has changed with this company. Products/Services just no longer worth the $$$$. Multiple people in my sub-division have also changed providers after receiving the same service or lack thereof. Consumer beware!!

We use TrueGreen for Lawn Care as well as Tree-Shrub Care. I am very pleased with the service, especially advanced notifications on technician, mobile app to see manage everything, detailed notes on observation, recommendation from technician after every visit as well as end result on plants & lawn. I am very happy and would recommend on any day.

I do not recommend using their services at all, you should use your local lawn care service. Each month they sent me messages that I have a critical problem that needs immediate attention with the low price of $376, on top of the $76 I pay per month. When I complained about this, I was told someone will come and see me the following week... no one showed up or gave me a follow up( I am mad because they never showed me proof or pictures of the critical problem, and yet they kept suggesting I pay for more services). I gave them another call the week after that to cancel, which would be the 2nd best decision of my life, the 1st would be using a local lawn care service. They just called me today asking why I canceled, I explained what was written to the caller , his response was okay thank you and hung up... very unprofessional and you wont tell a difference with your lawn, they make money from people who forget that you pay for their service and have been scamming people for years.

My specialist sends messages before the service and upon completion. The app allows me the opportunity to follow the route in order to be available when possible. My specialist does a thorough job. In fact, the beautiful condition of my grass speaks to the quality of service from Tru Green. Money well spent!

When we first moved to this location the lawn was full of weeds, with hardly any real grass. We had used TruGreen at other properties, and they have always performed as expected. Our technician does a great job treating our lawn with no interruptions to me or my wife (who both work from home). Lastly, yall keep our lawn looking great - we even won Yard of the Month last summer. I tell everyone I know about using TruGreen!

The lawn specialists always showed up when scheduled, were available to answer any questions I had, and my lawn looks so much better than it did prior to service.

This business has gone from bad to worse. Last year we had the HOA charge us for weeds they were supposedly spraying for. I dealt with it with them and thought it was a one off thing, but this year its even worse. We have crabgrass, clover, and other weeds all over our yard despite having constant service. I called a few days ago to ask them to come spray again and said Please leave a service ticket so I can know what is being done. I also asked why our beds werent being sprayed and they said we have to give permission so I said okay, Im giving permission, please spray the beds. Well... they finally came out today, and spent 5 minutes spraying but they didnt do beds. They also didnt leave a service ticket like requested. I tried to cancel but now I have to wait to talk to a general manager. Save yourself the headache and dont waste your money at this place.

I purchased a year of treatments (weed/feed and Lime treatment). My very first appointment, the guy showed up (his name is Jalon Overstreet), and sat in his car for 40 minutes. After which, he put a receipt on my front door, a sign in my yard and left. He indicated on the receipt he had performed pesticide treatment on my entire yard, when he actually did NOTHING. This is illegal, its a crime to take my money and perform 0 work. I see from other reviews this happens to many of their customers, save your time and dont hire them. We called and canceled, and I will not recommend this service to anyone.

Trugreen has the WORST customer service of any company that I have dealt with. 8 months in my lawn is far worse than it was before I started with them. No one seems to want to address the issues, despite numerous complaints and follow-ups. All they do is offer free services that half the time no one shows up to do or if they do come dont make any difference at all. And this is after specifically requesting to have someone in a position of authority come out to discuss options to address the issues, multiple times. Cant get a local number to speak with someone on the ground ... the # I was provided routes back to the central customer service people who are of no use what so ever. Looking at all the negative reviews I have no idea how they are still in business. I guess I am to blame for signing up with them!

TruGreen started out good, but they really start to slack off. In the beginning they treated the entire yard and I could see the improvements in my yard. Recently I notice they didnt treat my entire yard. I have cameras in my backyard; my camera never picked up a TruGreen technician treating my backyard. One day I was at home when the technician came and I watched him, he only sprayed the front yard and part of the side of the yard. I had enough and quit my services.

They took a perfect looking lawn and damaged it.

Poor quality! I have cameras around my house and you can see the laziness in the people that come to do service here and dont do it properly! Came today to spray for mosquitos and they literally just sprayed the front porch and the side! They didnt spray the front yard over the grass like they are supposed to and never entered my backyard where I need it the most because I have kids and dogs. Had them come out and treat out grass I dont what they dis that our grass died had to pay another landscape company to come out and put sod so our house doesnt look abandoned pr something! We did not have a good experience at all and my husband just called to cancel our service with them! Never again.

Keep your Eyes on this group of thieves. I have watched this group for over a year and Not 1 service was performed correctly without me calling customer service and getting it done again. *CAUTION THOUGH* I did have a tech retaliate against my calling in on there lack of service. Suddenly I had most of my front yard shrubs dying because he sprayed them with poison. Of course that was on camera just like the job he didn t do. So; watch these folks or you ll pay for services that was never done at all.

Prepaid for a years service in March. They treated my lawn for weeds on March 21, on the invoice, they stated they applied lime, we watched the tech, never happened. I complained and a few weeks later they applied the lime and did an aeration. Came out on April 27 and applied lime again, WTH? Mounds of lime all over my lawn, which burned it in spots. I complained again and they said they would be out here to do a free reservice for weeds. Well now its May and they said they cant come out until the 10th, my lawn is full of more weeds than when I started service. Very disappointed and I will not be using them after my plan is used up.

Put high nitrogen fertilizer on lawn/after complaining.

I use Tru Green to control the weeds. Lately, I have noticed a plethora of weeds in my grass. Since my service is year round, I was shocked to see various types of weeds popping up in my grass. When I called them, they came right out and resprayed my lawn. My message to Tru Green is simple, please improve your product so that it tackles the weeds. Like many, I take pride in my lawn and I am hoping that TruGreen stands behind their name and motto by offering superior services to their clients.

I live in Marietta - W Cobb. They were ok 5 years ago but all that changed. They stopped treating my backyard which was part of my plan. I even called to say put an extra sign in the back to no avail. Well last week they skipped my entire yard. No signs or statement was placed. My neighbors yard may have been treated since a sign was visible in the front and BACK of their yard. So I called and scheduled a retreat. I was home that morning. The service person sat in the truck for 25 minutes then placed a sign in the front yard and left. You would think they would at least do the right thing since I had to call. Just call Weed Man Lawn Care. You can actually call and text with the service tech. Now I can t wait to see True Green send the stupid automated response saying please reach out to us so we can make it right - LOL

Service is terrible. Products do work but when they dont show up to apply it just defeats the purpose. Customer service is useless and can never reach anyone at your service location just someone working from home who has no control or anything to say other than sorry. Do NOT recommend.

Trugreen performed lawn maintenance for us for 5-6 months and in that time our lawn went from very nice with minimal weeds to being in horrible condition with terrible weeds that we repeatedly complained to Trugreen about. We have a new lawn care company that has told us that whatever parts of the lawn were being treated with has severely damaged the grass. I say parts of the lawn because we have video of Trugreen technicians on our security cameras not even treating the whole yard, just walking a strip through the yard and then leaving. We would have a Trugreen technician at our house for a grand total of 2-4 minutes and try to say that they treated the entire front and back yard. Do not waste your money on this company.

Horrible experience. First time specialist just put signs in yard and left thought I wasn t home. They sent another out to redo the the service. Second treatment I was leaving saw them drive by turned around into garage same guy I requested not to come to my home they resent him and this time he only sprayed the front yard not back. I finally canceled service because of the frustration. If I wasn t home I wouldn t have caught these actions and would have been robbed out of my money. I feel bad for ones paying and this happening to and they don t know I can t be the only one this is happening to.

Don t trust TruGreen. They will state they completed service, and will ghost you. We would have never known if we didn t have cameras at our home, proving we never received service.

They are absolutely the worst company that you could have years ago they were very good at my other home but this is ridiculous there are weeds all over my yard and for the past five years they have done nothing it is terrible I am firing them

Don t trust when they text you saying the service is completely! They did that to me and I was home and play with my daughter outside and nobody show up to spray anything but I got text saying the service was completely. This is because I already called customer service to complain about they hang the paper at my door but when I checked my cameras they never spray anything, so I called customer service told them about they schedule another application but the person who came just did my front yard so I called again to complain about they don t did my back yard! So for me they don t take serious business! Definitely don t recommend!

We have been loyal Trugreen customers for years. After calling to complain about our new service tech over the past few months I finally canceled today. We have been robbed of almost $180 every month since this kid started. He services our .75 acre yard in 3 minutes each time.....does not step foot in back yard or side yard. Today I caught him get out walk in a few random circles spraying a few spots, get back in truck, talk on phone and play on his tablet and drive off. Every time I call to complain they re service with same kid not doing his job. All has been caught on outdoor cameras. Just want everyone to know in case this is happening to you. $180 a month is a lot to have stolen over several months. If I were the local owner I would want to know that my employees were simply not doing their jobs and stealing from hard working people. Its a shame.

Not sure what has changed with trugreen but this year has been horrible. I ve had them for 5 years and finally cancelled this year after multiple problems. It started with only servicing half my front yard and never doing the other side of the driveway or backyard. Then, just recently, we started putting full on paths in my yard by burning it with fertilizer. I ve called 4 times and can t get a single person to actually help me, they just tell me a supervisor will be calling me within 48 hours. I was told one time Mike the supervisor is who would call me. Where ya at, Mike?!

wish there was a way to give 0 stars. Do not use this service its the biggest waste of money and impossible to call and complain because it takes 48 hours to get a call back and if you miss the call you will have to wait another 48 hours. We still have weeds and bare spots. Not to mention the misquito guy will not spray the whole yard he will do around the house and leave. Customer service said he would be back by 6 and he never returned. Im done with this...

UPDATE: It s the third time now that TruGreen sent us a bill saying they applied some gals of something but they never ever showed up. All of our calls and emails turned out nothing. This company is a thief. *** All of the negative reviews are so true. Wish I have read them before using this company. It s unbelievable after so many reports and complains they are still doing same frauds around! We have a scheduled lawn care service and received an email summary that a service was performed. We were at home and checked through surveillance cameras that no one ever came to the house. We immediately called and requested an additional free service. Another technician came in 3 days. Our cars were in the garage so he probably assumed we are not home. He sat in his truck for ten minutes and left without any treatment. Again, we received a summary saying a service was done, which was a lie. We have all the records from our surveillance cameras proving it. Guess what, the exact same thing just happened again in the second month. Now our lawn is full of weeds and remains untreated for almost 2 months. The customer service was totally useless. After so many calls and emails turned out zero solution or refund except a damaged lawn and endless frustration.

I wish I can give negative stars. Very unprofessional, argumentative technicians. They said they control weeds but my yard was full of weeds.

I would give ZERO Stars if I could. See yourself the before and after photos that were taken 3 weeks apart. I typically take care of my own lawn, but I hired TrueGreen this year since we had our first child. The technicians have no idea what they are doing. They killed my ENTIRE backyard by spreading too much preemergent at the beginning of summer. They spread so much that some sections were dead hours after they left, and the remainder of the lawn died within the next two weeks. Worst of all, you can never get anyone local on the phone. You call a national call center, and they say sorry... and the local manager will reach out to you. But they never do.

Absolutely horrified with what they have done to my yard. It has never looked this awful and I am totally heartbroken. They stand me up for appointments time and time again. Today is the last straw. True green owes me a refund, explanation, and apology. I am too old to take care of my own yard and they took advantage of me. I would not trust them on my property ever again. I am devastated and ashamed of my yard.

People say they have been to my house when they have not. Ive made many phone calls to Trugreen and have had replacement people come do my yard. My spring weeds did disappear but I dont know if it was from the service or that they disappear as the weather turns warmer.

Technician serviced the wrong address. Company supposedly contacted her but she still never showed up at our home. The report we received was for incorrect service as well. As a new customer we expected a bit more professionalism. Didn t even get an apology. Needless to say, we won t be doing business in the future.

Ive been a long time customer receiving regular tree and shrub service for years. But, additionally I need to arrange for emerald ash borer treatment each year. For some reason TruGreen has a problem being able to schedule and get this done on-time. This year Ive been calling since May trying to get this service scheduled and completed. Service dates set, but no one shows up over 6 times. I finally gave up and cancelled all my service with TruGreen. Its not worth it.

Do not use this company for lawn care. The techs come out, sit in their truck and NEVER treat your lawn. Then they charge you for a service you never received.

I have used this company for almost two (2) years, and I still have the exact same weed problems, in particular crab grass, that I had when I hired them. I know that my yard has gotten worst since hiring them. Recently my neighbor advised me to discontinue their services because he observed them perform a useless service called ghosting. Ghosting occurs when the service tech puts on a backpack and spot spray. My entire yard has crab grass and weeds. According to my neighbor, the entire ordeal lasted less than 10 minutes. After the tech finished ghosting my yard, they put up signs indicating that they had performed a service, when in reality they did absolutely nothing. When I called in to cancel my services, I was asked did I want another service tech to come inspect my yard to correct the problem. The yard tech is the problem, along with his company. There is no quality control with this outfit, meaning, supervisors never check the work of their employees. Why would I invite them out to correct a problem now, when it shouldve been completed last year in 2021. I will take care of my weed problems and WITHOUT TruGreen. This company is the worst. If you care anything about your lawn and is capable of performing the required services yourself, YouTube is the way to go. I am fortunate enough to have a neighbor who is in this exact same line of business as TruGreen. His advice to me; do it yourself! Times are hard enough as it is. I would not recommend this company, especially if your value your hard-earned money and lawn. Please look elsewhere. Their services are useless. You can water your grass and perform weed control by your lonesome, because about the most TruGreen is going to do is water your grass, weeds and put-up useless signs! I promise you; your weeds will be just healthy as your grass if you use this company.

These people somehow get your phone number and harass you with sales calls. I got 3 calls in 1 day and I have never called them. So when I called back it was a recording. I have no idea how they got my number. They also called my sons phone several times

1st application killed my grass. Costing me so much money to get my grass to grow. To bad they put down an application within the last two days, after being fired. Praying this application will kill my yard Again. So upset!

I couldnt be happier with the services! Initially, I was considering other options because my lawn was not responding to your treatments - fertilization, weed control, pest control, etc. (at least, thats what I thought at the time). There were brown patches, weeds, and lawn gnats everywhere. I was so frustrated! However, I decided to wait it out, and Im so thrilled that I did. Patience is KEY! My lawn looks great! Its so green and lush, and I cant find any weeds. One year later, and Im a VERY SATISFIED customer!!

I have received Horrible Service this year. I was a prepaid customer for 10 yrs. Now that I have returned to my house I see they were not/ are not servicing the lawn and charged me anyway. During our hot months the workers did not come. No sign no invoice left. I called the customer service many times the managers did not respond as I was told they would call. The online account bills you automatically no regard for non-service. I am requesting a refund for the year of no services. I have gotten another company. They are the best because they actually apply the weed control and fertilizer.

Avoid at all costs. Last year I caught them multiple times on my camera not doing any work. Complained and got free services to compensate from the local office. I directed them to close my account when the free services were completed. They did not, and have with no authorization charged my credit card for the last two services.

DO NOT USE ,3 times in past 4 months I got an email that service was completed and no one actually showed up.I was home all 3 times and very sure that I wouldn t miss the bell.Also I checked cameras.when I called they simply said no big deal and will reschedule and next time send more reliable person.and they did send someone but why do I need to catch them cheating so I can get service that I prepaid for done. TruGreen has been a valuable service in keeping my lawn healthy and keeping the weeds under control. A company is only as good as the people who represent it. Nick Fagerburg and his team manager, Jenny, do their best to please their TruGreen clients.

Just didnt seem to care. Ignored requests I attempted to maximize service. Aeration/seeding to late in season, and didnt give me enough notice to blow lawn. When they performed the various fertilizing visits, you could tell they were doing as fast as they could.
